Who We Are
The people of MST Services are leaders in the field of mental-health and substance-abuse services for children, adolescents and their families and are working to increase the effectiveness of these services. Combined, we have hundreds of years of experience. Our team is composed of a board of directors, staff, network partner managers, consultants and affiliated professionals committed to improving the lives of youth with anti-social behavior and the lives of their families.

Scott Henggeler, Ph.D.
Director of Family Services Research Center
Professor, Medical University of South Carolina, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Henggeler was awarded his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Virginia. He has published more than 140 journal articles, book chapters and books, and is on the editorial board of several journals.

Sonja Schoenwald, Ph.D.
Sonja K. Schoenwald, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina and was Associate Director of the Family Services Research Center there from 1994 – 2004. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her doctoral degree from Duke University. Dr. Schoenwald took the lead in developing, refining, and scientifically testing the quality assurance protocols used to transport Multisystemic Therapy (MST) to diverse communities. She has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on the transport and implementation of evidence-based treatments, and has co-authored three MST books and several treatment manuals and monographs.

Melisa Rowland, M.D.
Associate Professor, Medical University of South Carolina, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Rowland received a bachelor of science degree in zoology from Louisiana State and medical degree from University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Keller Strother
President, MST Services
Mr. Strother holds bachelor of arts, bachelor of science and master’s degrees from Stanford University and a master’s in business administration from Duke University.

Joseph Boggs, Ph.D., MBA
Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President
Dr. Boggs received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Purdue University and his master's in business administration from the University of South Carolina. He has been with MST Services since 1998.

Molly Brunk, Ph.D.
Director of Quality Assurance, MST Institute; Executive Vice President
Dr. Brunk received a Ph.D. from Memphis State University. She joined MST Services in 2000. Dr. Brunk is also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Lisa Reiter-Lavery, Ph.D.
Clinical Director, Executive Vice President
Dr. Reiter-Lavery received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Catholic University of America. She joined MST Services in 2000.
